Crisis Intervention
This area of the Chicago Department of Human Services responds to Chicago's social service needs around the clock, seven days a week. The mechanism it uses to accomplish this feat is the Crisis Response area, which provides 24-hour support and crisis intervention to victims of fire, sexual assault and domestic violence, and those suffering from homelessness, hunger and other emergency situations.
