BUSINESS GOVERNMENT SALES INFORMATION

Chicago Department of Procurement Services
provides information on doing business with the city, the purchasing process, the Minority and Women-owned Business (M/WBE) Procurement Program, and information on workshops that are offered to help with the process.

Chicago Department of Planning and Development
actively promotes growth and development in Chicago's diverse neighborhoods with a focus on the continued economic development of the City. This link is to their Request for Proposal (RFP) page which is the source for any open requests.

Central Management Services
explains that the State of Illinois purchases a vast number of commodities and equipment for use by any state agency. Businesses wishing to do business with the state are encouraged to apply for qualification as an approved vendor and to bid on the items they can supply. View instructions for obtaining and submitting bids. "How to Do Business With the State for Commodities, Equipment, and Supplies" answers questions about bidding on and selling goods to the State of Illinois.

The Illinois Business Enterprise Program for Minorities, Females, and Persons with Disabilities
(BEP) promotes the economic development of businesses owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities. Administered by the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS), BEP has made it easier for businesses owned by minorities, females and persons with disabilities to sell their goods and services to state agencies and universities.

Federal Government

Federal Business Opportunities
are presented at FedBizOpps.  The General Services Administration (GSA) has teamed with several agencies to develop, pilot, and implement a Government-wide electronic posting system. EPS has two primary features: a central government-wide index and, an application that allows buyers to post notice of procurements, directly, to the internet. The hallmark of EPS is that it is not a "standalone" application built for the single purpose of announcing business opportunities. EPS is rather an integral part of the much larger Federal Electronic Commerce Framework. It’s "object oriented", modular design, allows tremendous flexibility in deployment options and interconnectivity.

Small Business Administration, Procurement Information is designed to advocate, facilitate and create an environment for the maximum practicable participation by small, small disadvantaged and small woman-owned businesses, in contracts awarded by the U.S. Government and subcontracts awarded by its large prime contractors.

Small Business Administration - Pro-Net
is an electronic gateway of procurement information -- for and about small businesses. It is a search engine for contracting officers, a marketing tool for small firms and a "link" to procurement opportunities and important information. It is designed to be a "virtual" one-stop-procurement-shop.

Commerce Business Daily
is an alliance between the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and the U.S. Govt. Printing Office. CBD Net is the official FREE online listing of Government contracting opportunities which are published in the Commerce Business Daily.

Department of Defense Business Opportunities
provides an e-portal for vendors to identify business opportunities within the DoD Components and then to locate the pools of procurement and acquisition information such as the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), the DoD Component's technical data repositories and the corresponding bidding modules. Users can search for and locate desired solicitations and are then directed to access the appropriate DoD sites to register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), download solicitation and technical data, and make offers and bids on the specific solicitations.
